Gate 2014 Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering 2014 Notification – Apply Online

Gate 2014 Notification and exam dates have been released. Gate 2014 details are given below. The GATE Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering is an all India examination conducted jointly by the Indian Institute of Science and seven IITs .
GATE is conducted through the constitution of eight zones. The zones and the corresponding administrative institutes are:
Zone-1: Indian Institute of Science Bangalore
Zone-2: Indian Institute of Technology Bombay
Zone-3: Indian Institute of Technology Delhi
Zone-4: Indian Institute of Technology Guwahati
Zone-5: Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur
Zone-6: Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur
Zone-7: Indian Institute of Technology Madras
Zone-8: Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee
The GATE score is used for admission into various post-graduate programmes such as M.E., M.Tech and Ph.D in Indian higher education institutes. Qualified candidates get financial assistance from the government agencies. The score are now being used by the Public Sector Units for employment screening purposes.

GATE Online Application Processing System (GOAPS) starting Date – 2nd September 2013
Last Date for Enrolment – 1st October 2013
Last date for Submission of Online Application through Website – 3rd October 2013
Last Date for the receipt of Print-out of the ONLINE Application – 10th October 2013
Last Date for Request for Change in the Choice of City – 20th November 2013
Availability of Admit Card on the GOAPS website for printing – 18th December, 2013
GATE 2014 Online Examination – Between 1st February and 2nd March 2014
(Forenoon: 9.00 AM to 12.00 Noon
Afternoon: 2.00 PM to 5.00 PM)
Announcement of Results on the Online Application Website : 28th March 2014

Application fee

• Rs 1500 for General/OBC male candidates
• Rs 750 for women candidates
• Rs 1500 for General/OBC other candidates
• Rs 750 for the SC/ST/PD category candidates.
• The Application fee can be paid either online or through a bank challan via SBI or Syndicate Bank.
• The application fee is non – refundable

Note :
A new paper “Ecology and Evolution” is introduced in GATE 2014.
Examinations for all the 22 papers will be conducted by an ONLINE Computer Based Test (CBT).
